Flagging PLUs to be used in the Online Menu
- Go to Menu -> PLUs from the main screen to access the PLU List. This will show a lsit of created Online Menus & multiple can be created & used for different Online Menu Platforms. In this Instance we will be Creating a Menu for UberEats
- Click on Flags in the Selection Tabs on the top of the list
- Click Quick Edit in the bottom Context Bar
- In the PLU List click on the flag "Is Available Online?" so that it has a tick next to the PLUs you want to be available in the Online Menu, this can be turned OFF & ON as needed & the Online Menu will automatically update itself based on this selection after configured as shown later
- Click Save to save you changes & close to go back to the main menu
Creating Online Menus
- Go to Menu -> Online Menus from the main screen to access a list of Online Menus
- Click on Insert from the Bottom Context Bar to create a new Menu
- Give the Online Menu a title to assist with finding it later
Adding Menu Groupings
- In the Menu Groupings Section of the screen click on "Click here to add a new entry" in the top or Insert in the bottom to create a new group for items to be displayed into
- Enter in a Main Category, this is typically Food or Beverage, but can be seperated out into Lunch & dinner as we can sub categorise this options as. In this example we will be having just Food & Beverage catergories. Enter in a name of the Group that items will be added to, typically this is the Reporting or Display group of the items & click Save
Add Time restrictions to Online Menu & groups
We can add in times to control when this Menu is available for customers to be available for sale as well as apply this to the groups we add to the Menu. In this example we will be applying it to the Menu as a whole
- Click on Availability Tab in the left of the screen
- Click on the 'No' to 'Yes to resrict the menu to a time frame
- Adding a time frame to this we need to click on the Predfined Periods in the bottom right of the screen
- Click Insert in the popup
- Select For use with Online Menus, this will allow it be used by our online menu
- Create a name & select the time & days that we are applying the menu to. You can click Insert to add in more timeframes if they are different between weekdays & weekends
- Click Save & Close to go back to the Menu screen. You can then tick the box next to the Timeframe needed & click on Save to save
- The same steps are taken when doing the Menu group availability. Double click the Group that needs the rescriction & update it the same way as needed

Adding PLUs to Menu groups
- Click on Insert in the bottom of the Menu Items Section in the screen or 'Click here to add a new entry' in the top
- Adding PLUs via Display Groups
- In the Selection choose the Type as Display Groups & choose the correct group from the Display Group drop down box
You can type in the name of the group to filter the selection
- Click Save & the group will be added to the screen & will be designated a colour to represent that they are a Display group
- Pressing the Delete button here will remove the Entire Display group, if you do not want an item to be on this Menu, either remove the Display group from the item or untick the "Is Available Online?" in flags for the specific PLU
- In the Selection choose the Type as Display Groups & choose the correct group from the Display Group drop down box
- Adding individual PLUs to Menu group
- Click Insert on the bottom of the Item section
- Select Type as PLU & PLU dropdown to search for required item. You can type in the name of the item to filter for that item
It will then show in the menu screen uncoloured to designate that it is an individual product
- Clicking delete on the indivdual product will remove it from this list
- Click Insert on the bottom of the Item section
Editing PLU Names, Descriptions & adding Images
We can change how the item is displayed to customers & add in a description that will show to clients, this allows us to present a proper wording for customers whilst still keeping the PLU user-friendly for staff, This is purely optional as needed

- Selecting a PLU in the list & then typing out a display name that customers seen is done via the Name section in the Online Settings area of the right hand side of the screen
This does not change the name given to it originally & only changes it here for the Online Menu

- Adding Descriptions
- Clicking into the Desc: portion of the Settings area allows you to add a description of the item, suggest upsells or anything else that is required for the Customer to know

- Adding Image to PLU
- Clicking on the Select Image Icon in the Settings which will bring up an Image selection screen. You can then select an image as previously added in an earlier guide

Adding Sale Modifiers to PLUs
Adding Sale Modifiers allows a user to select a size of an item & will be charged based on the sale modifier price. In this instance, we will be using Tap Beer as the most common sizing modifiers
- Clicking on Insert in the Modifier Options on the right side of the screen allows us to add in these additional sizes
- Select the Default size of the product & click Select
Click the Default button to Yes to make it the default selection (Optional) when users click this product & click Save
- Add in the other modifiers using the same method without selecting the Default selection
- You can click on an item hold the SHIFT Key on the keyboard to select multiple products & use the above method to add these modifers to multiple products at once
- Click Save to save the current progress
Adding Prompts to PLUs
Adding prompts to PLUs allows a customer to edit, add or remove sides, or required items that need to be taken on specific PLus
- Click on the required PLU then clicking on the Insert in the PLU Prompt Sequence section of the screen
- Click on Insert to create a new Prompt
- Enter in a name for the prompt that is easily recognised, this is only for the POS side of the menu & is used to identify the prompt
- Enter in a display name that customers will see, typically a question of what choices they are here to make
- Typing in a Min & Max is the number of choices a customer is allowed to select in the prompt itself, for the below example of the Temperature that the steak is needed to be cooked we will set Min & Max to 1 so that they have to select a choice, leaving either blank will remove the Min or Max choice from the prompt
- To add in items, click insert & then use the same selection of Display group or PLUs as used in the Adding individual PLUs to Menu group section.
- If you need to rearrange the order you can use the up & down arrows to reorder where the PLUs are located
Click Save, then Select the prompt &clcik Select to add it to the Item where it will be displayed
- Follow the steps again to create new prompts & add them to the PLU.
Once a prompt has been made it can be added to other items that share that without having to recreate the prompt
- Click Save to save progress
Once the menu is done, click on the close button on the bottom right

& Publish the changes
Once this is done, liason with our support team who can help integrate this menu with the required Online Menu provider & link the menu to them for use
