The Triniteq Digital Receipt solution is designed to be simple and intuitive for both staff and customers, requiring little to no training. It functions like a regular printer on your POS system and captures receipts in real-time, giving customers the option to receive their receipt via SMS or Email.
Getting Started
To begin using digital receipts, contact Triniteq Support to have the solution installed on your POS terminal. Once installed, continue processing transactions as usual.
When ready to send a digital receipt:
- Print the receipt from your POS as you normally would.
- In PowerEPOS, you may want to choose between a printed receipt or select SMS/Online from the receipt options.
How It Works
When SMS/Online is selected:
- The Triniteq Digital Receipt Agent (installed on your POS) captures and formats the receipt in the background.
- A prompt will appear on screen, allowing the user to choose between Email or SMS as the delivery method.
Email Receipt Delivery
- Tap Email on the screen.
- Enter the customer’s email address.
- Press Send to complete the process.
SMS Receipt Delivery
- Tap SMS on the screen.
- Enter the customer’s mobile number.
Acceptable formats: 044xxxxxxx, 6144xxxxxxx - Press Send to deliver the receipt via SMS.
Note: Some venues may choose to disable SMS delivery. In this case, a message will appear notifying the user. To enable SMS, please contact Triniteq Support.![]()
Success & Error Handling
- Upon successful delivery, a confirmation message appears on screen and automatically disappears after 3 seconds. You may also tap OK to dismiss it immediately.
- If an error occurs, a message will display on screen. The receipt will be saved locally and can be re-sent later by Triniteq Support—no data is lost.
What Happens Next?
After sending:
- The receipt is uploaded to the Triniteq cloud server.
- The customer receives either:
- An email from receipts@powerepos.au titled "Your Receipt from [VENUE NAME]", or
- An SMS from Triniteq, PowerEPOS, or a standard mobile number.
In both cases, the message contains a link to view the receipt in a web browser.
Receipts are stored online for 6 months. A message is shown on the receipt page informing customers of this retention period.
